Directions:

Sat- Nav:  SA12 9SP to Pontrhdyfen then follow brown signs and race signs to the venue.

The venue is reached up a forest gravel track

Parking & Camping:

Parking and camping are all in the top field below the 4x track, please follow signs and park responsibly with regard to your neighbour.

There are areas of hard standing for campers and large vans on the way up to the field.

Camping can be booked onsite when you arrive but there is plenty of space for everyone.

StrEatery will be providing all your catering needs from Friday through to Sunday!

Spares & Repairs:

Pedal Addiction and Amped Cycleworx have teamed up to bring you a one stop shop for spare and repairs. Alongside then we have Stans and Goodyear on hand to help you with your tyres and tubeless setups.

Demos:

Haibike, Lapierre and Bird will be on site all weekend with their latest bikes for you to peruse.

Toilets & Showers:

The main toilets & showers are situated  just on the left hand side as you approach the lodge.

There will also be portable toilets up in the event field for you to use throughout the weekend.

 

Schedule:

Sign-on:

Friday 12th April: 17:00-18:00

Saturday 13th April: 08:00 – 18:30

You must bring a credit/debit card as a deposit for your timing transponder.

You will not be allowed on the stages without the correct number board fitted to your bike!

Mash Up competitors have until 18:30 Saturday to pay the £20 supplement and  collect the BNES number board if they wish to race in Sunday’s race, you will keep the same timing transponder for Sunday.

Timing transponder has to be fixed to the right fork leg as low as possible. For Lefty forks ask at Sign on.

Please return your timing transponder once you have finished all of your races.

BNES & WGES Stages:

Helmets are compulsory and must be worn at all times while riding a bike, they must also be secured properly at all times, they must carry a Snell, Kite mark or EN 1078.
If a rider is seen without their helmet on a transition whilst on their bike, a penalty will be imposed.
A full face helmet is NOT compulsory, but it is highly recommended.

Practice times for all competitors:

Practice is ONLY on Saturday the 13th April at the following times:

Stage 1:  09:15 – 17:00

Stage 4: 08:30-17:00

Stages 2, 3, 5, 6e:          08:30 – 11:25  &  15:35 – 17:00

(Stages: 2, 3, 5, 6e Will be closed for the Mash Up race from 11:25-15:35, only Mash Up competitors can access these stages during this time period)

WGES Mash Up Round 1:

3 stages plus an Ebike specific stage 13km and 500m approx of vertical gain

11:30-15:30 on stages: 2, 3, 5, 6e

 

Stages 2, 3, 5, 6e are closed to all non Mash Up competitors from 11:25 – 15:35

Those who have raced the mash up and wish to race the BNES on Saturday have until 18:30 to sign on and pay the £20 supplement to collect Sunday’s number board.

You can do as many runs as you like within the 4 hours of Live timing in any order you like….

NO PRACTICE BEFORE SATURDAY 13TH APRIL!

Sunday 14th April:

BNES Round 1:

5 stages over 34 km and 1000 m approx of vertical gain

Riders will leave in time and category order from the arena (podium) from 08:30 am in the following order:

Ebike

Hardtail

Under 15 Men

Senior Women

U21 Women

Master 35+ Women

Grand Veteran Men

Veteran Men

Master Men

Under 21 Men

Under 18 Men

Senior Men

This is the order of running for the day with 3 minute category gaps.

Ebike, Hardtail, Under 15 Men are non-points scoring categories for the BNES.

Transition times:

Transition times are based on my time to do the transition from the end of the stage to the start of the next stage on a 160 mm Enduro bike plus a loo stop, selfie stop, bit of a rest then I’ve added 15 minutes so you have plenty of time!

Stage completion times are estimated.

Just don’t stop for a picnic!!

There are no penalties for being late but please stick to your start time as you will be seeded based on your ranking from entry and previous results.

Arena to stage 1: 60 mins (10 mins allowed for stage 1 completion)

Stage 1 to Stage 2: 55 mins (10 mins allowed for stage 2 completion)

Stage 2 to Stage 3: 35 mins inc food stop time (5 mins allowed for stage 3 completion)

Stage 3 to Stage 4: 10 mins (10 mins allowed for stage 4 completion)

Stage 4 to Stage 5: 45 mins (Finished)

Stage 6 E-Bike: 1-5 minutes depending on where in the field you have parked

Transition signs:

Please follow these signs, information regarding the destination will be on these too.

Caution Cycle Ahead means you are approaching a crossing point of a stage.

 

Podiums and Prizes:

There will be podiums for the top 3 in each category in Mash Up and BNES

WGES Mash Up podium will be at approx 17:00 on Saturday

BNES podium will be at approx 16:00 Sunday

Attendance of podiums is compulsory or prizes will be forfeited.
