Directions:

Sat- Nav:  SY20 8AU to Machynlleth, then turn in Llynlloed Lane next to the Co-op, field entrance is 100m on the right, please obey the marshals and pay for camping at sign on £10 for the whole weekend.

 

Parking & Camping:

Parking and camping are all in the main field, £10 per vehicle for the weekend to camp or if doing just the Mash Up you can park for free.

Please pay for camping at sign on and collect your camping pass which must be displayed in your vehicle so we can see it.

NO NEED TO BOOK JUST TURN UP .
There is drinking water in the next field along the hedge (see map)
Marshals camp for free.

LITTER!! Please put it in a bag and place it in the skip provided.

The event village and sign on will be in the top left corner of the field.

 

Food & Catering:

StrEatery will be providing all your catering needs from Friday through to Sunday!

Spares & Repairs:

Pedal Addiction and Amped Cycleworx have teamed up to bring you a one stop shop for spare and repairs.

Demos:

Haibike, Lapierre and Bird will be on site all weekend with their latest bikes for you to peruse.

Toilets & Showers:

The toilets will be portable event toilets positioned half way up the field
There are showers in the Bro Dyfi Leisure Centre a short 200m walk from the field, £2.20 per person,you can pay for these at the reception. Opening times for the centre are:
Friday: 07:30 -19:30
Saturday: 08:00 -14:30
Sunday: 08:30 – 15:30
Please remove any muddy gear before entering!

 

Schedule:

Sign-on:

Friday 12th April: 17:00-18:00

Saturday 13th April: 07:30 – 18:30

You must bring a credit/debit card as a deposit for your timing transponder.
You will not be allowed on the stages without the correct number board fitted to your bike!
Mash Up competitors have until 18:30 Saturday to pay the £20 supplement and  collect the BNES number board if they wish to race in Sunday’s race, you will keep the same timing transponder for Sunday.
Timing transponder has to be fixed to the right fork leg as low as possible. For Lefty forks ask at Sign on.

Please return your timing transponder once you have finished all of your races.

 

Practice times for all competitors (BNES & MASH UP):

Practice is ONLY on Saturday the 31st August at the following times:

Stage 1,2 from 10:00 – 16:00

Stage 3,4,5 from 09:00 -11:25 & 15:35 – 17:00

Stages 3,4,5 will be closed for the Mash Up race from 11:25-15:35, only Mash Up competitors can access these stages during this time period

Also please note:

NO PRACTICE BEFORE SATURDAY 31st AUGUST!

NO SECTIONING! NO PUSHING BACK UP!

YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED INSTANTLY!

 

 

WGES Mash Up Round 2:

3 stages 13km and 650m approx of vertical gain

11:30-15:30 on stages: 3,4,5

 

Those who have raced the mash up and wish to race the BNES on Saturday have until 18:30 to sign on and pay the £20 supplement to collect Sunday’s number board.

You can do as many runs as you like within the 4 hours of Live timing in any order you like….

 

Sunday 1st September:

BNES Round 6:

5 stages over 30 km and 1000 m approx of vertical gain

Riders will leave in time and category order from the arena (podium) from 09:30 am in the following order:

Ebike
Hardtail
Under 15 Men
Senior Women
U21 Women
Master 35+ Women
Grand Veteran Men
Veteran Men
Master Men
Under 21 Men
Under 18 Men
Senior Men
This is the order of running for the day with 3 minute category gaps.
Ebike, Hardtail, Under 15 Men are non-points scoring categories for the BNES.

Transition times:

Transition times are based on my time to do the transition from the end of the stage to the start of the next stage on a 160 mm Enduro bike plus a loo stop, selfie stop, bit of a rest then I’ve added 15 minutes so you have plenty of time!
Stage completion times are estimated.
Just don’t stop for a picnic!!
There are automatic penalties for being late!! these are activated 5 minutes after your official stage start time. Please stick to your start time as you will be seeded on each stage start!

BNES & WGES Stages:

Helmets are compulsory and must be worn at all times while riding a bike, they must also be secured properly at all times, they must carry a Snell, Kite mark or EN 1078.
If a rider is seen without their helmet on a transition whilst on their bike, a penalty will be imposed.
A full face helmet is NOT compulsory, but it is highly recommended.

Triple arrow down sign means the trail suddenly steepens or becomes more technical, Use caution.

Transition signs:

Please follow these signs, information regarding the destination will be on these too.

Caution Cycle Ahead means you are approaching a crossing point of a stage.

 

Podiums and Prizes:

There will be podiums for the top 3 in each category in Mash Up and BNES
WGES Mash Up podium will be at approx 17:00 on Saturday
BNES podium will be at approx 16:00 Sunday

Attendance of podiums is compulsory or prizes will be forfeited.

Please note there is NO PRACTICE or RIDING of taped trails from 09:00 27th August until 09:00 Saturday 1st September, If you are caught riding the taped trails within this timescale you will be disqualified and publicly branded an idiot!
